I’m not gonna lie…this could’ve been my most challenging newborn to date. He did NOT want to go to sleep or stay asleep. Could’ve been because he was past the two week mark; could’ve been he was overtired; could’ve been he was nervous about his debut photo shoot. Whatever the reason…you’re totally forgiven, buddy! Good things come to those who wait…and I’d say our patience paid off. He is an absolute beauty… Thanks for hanging in there mom and dad!

My babies…growing up before my very eyes. Losing teeth, playing ball, becoming computer whizzes! Asking questions about the world around them…(some very difficult to answer!) Learning to share and to be patient. Seeing that life is not always fair, but trying to focus on what they have rather than what they don’t have. Hard lessons but important ones…
I know one day I’ll look back and pine for these early years. Life can get so busy, but I try to take the time everyday to appreciate their beauty and innocence and to show them how proud I am to be their mother. They are growing up so fast…

…and cute as a button. This little guy was soooo endearing and adorable, I really wanted to take him home with me. He was on the go for sure, playing tag with mom, chasing geese and looking for foxes. Oh yeah, and feeding leaves to my dinosaur! (That dinosaur makes the rounds!) You may remember the newborn session with his baby sister…she was the beautiful girl in the pink pettiskirt. Well, apparently, good looks run in the family, as you’ll see…
I love his expression in this first one.

I am so happy and excited to be doing summer beach sessions at LBI again this year!! It’s one of my favorite places on earth!
On the day of this session, it was beautiful and sunny. Then all of a sudden, right before our scheduled time, the clouds came rolling in and next thing you know it was POURING. An hour later, sunshine! It just goes to show that it pays to roll with the weather… This family was so sweet and I could tell from talking to mom that LBI is as magical a place for her as it is for me. We both spent summers here as kids and now we’re creating special memories with our own children. When she asked me to capture some special beach moments of her family, I knew how much this session meant to her. I hope I’ve captured some of the magic of LBI for you guys..more to come!

As a child, I grew up spending my summers on Long Beach Island. I have so many special memories of being with my family at the shore, spending endless hours in the ocean while my dad watched me vigilantly, building sand castles with my brother and playing “kadima” with whoever was up to the challenge!
Here’s your chance to capture special beach memories of your own family to be remembered and enjoyed for a lifetime…. I am offering beach sessions at the end of this month, from Sunday, June 27th until Tuesday, June 29th and also next month from Friday, July 23rd until Saturday, July 31st. I offer 2 sessions per day, one in the early morning and one in the evening. We can shoot at your own local beach, at the bay, or at the beautiful Barnegat Lighthouse on the northern tip of LBI.

It took all my creative playing powers to win the trust of this endearing little guy. When friends of mine called me for his portrait session, I thought, “A five year boy? No problem! I’m totally in my comfort zone.” Well, he was very shy at first. Soooooo, I talked up Yo Gabba Gabba, the Mario Brothers and the Yankees. I even ran to buy some Skittles and orange Tic Tacs…and then fed them to my toy dinosaur. I think that did it! He must’ve thought, “Hey, she’s alright.” As we started playing, I got some smiles and laughs and we even went for a little stroll along Congers Lake. He is very adorable…as you will see. And I hear afterwards he said I was cute! 
I love this one cause it captures his shyness. And his beautiful eyelashes.

We’re starting to celebrate Memorial Day early with some red, white and blue! You may remember this little guy from a session I did with him in February when he was just 3 months old. This time, I had the extreme pleasure of meeting his adorable sister and brother so we could get the three of them together. And how cute are they??? They were great models, too. Easy to joke around with and make laugh, although I did have to enlist big sister to get her baby brother to smile for us one last time at the end of the session…I think it worked!

They certainly do! This beautiful sister and brother were awesome to work with…not only were they fun but mom put them in stylin’ outfits and took us to some great locations around Bronxville!
