Approach

As a mother of two, it is my joy and my passion to photograph children.  I love their natural curiosity, their innocence and spontaneity. Capturing these wonderful qualities in photographs is what makes my job so rewarding.

My desire as a portrait photographer is to capture the essence of your child.  Whether it’s a silly giggle or a thoughtful stare, I want to catch them being themselves.  Time passes so quickly and before we know it our babies have grown on to the next stage.  I want to give you a lasting memory of your child, by catching true moments in time. My approach is fun and relaxed, so my camera can capture your child being just who they are.

Sessions

• My sessions can be in-studio or in the comfort of your own home.  We can also use an outdoor setting of your choice.
• Before your session, we’ll discuss the look and style you prefer and what clothing and background you’d like to use.  The decision of whether we use natural light or studio lights will contribute to the look of the photographs greatly.  If we shoot on location, I always like to see what environment we’ll be in beforehand, so I can search for the best light and nicest backgrounds for our shots.  If  the session is at your home, I may need to move some furniture but I will always return it to its place.
• On the day of the session, please allow for a two hour shoot.  I like to ensure plenty of time for your child to take a break, play or get a snack to keep them feeling their best.  I do recommend that you have at least one change of clothes, a snack and a toy or two on hand, for when they may need a happy distraction.  Above all, I want our session to be fun and relaxed.

Proofing

• Within 2 weeks of your portrait session, your proofs will be available for viewing in your own private gallery here on my website.  This gallery will be protected by a private password that you can share with family and friends and will remain active for 10 days.  During this time, you are kindly requested to place your order.  I will also be happy to consult with you to help you choose which photographs and/or packages you want to order.

Investment

• Session Fee ~ $200 weekdays   |   $250 weekends & Holidays   |   $500 for Extended Families (10 people or more)
• This includes a 2 hour session for 1-2 children and up to 4 family members.  (Each additional person is $25.)  The session fee includes the photographer’s time, talent and your personal online gallery of 25-30 artistically edited images.  The session fee does not include prints or digital files.
• My studio is based in Bergen County, NJ.  For location shoots I serve all of the NYC metro area and beyond.  I do charge a travel fee of $30/hr for locations beyound 30 miles of my studio (add parking for NYC).  I also love to travel ~ please contact me directly for special rates.
• During the summer season, I’m also available for Long Beach Island and Jersey Shore locations.  LBI locations incur no travel fee.  These sessions are subject to limited availability and book fast.

Products & Pricing

• Products available include a beautiful selection of custom made albums, storyboards, canvas wraps, wall and gift prints, designer hand bags, holiday & announcement cards, dvd slideshows, and digital files.
• These products are available in a wide variety of collections which offer significant savings on a la carte prices.
• There is a $400 minimum purchase on all orders.
